About David Colpitts
The goal of psychotherapy is to help a client take steps towards becoming the person they want to be. David's goal then is to journey with the client in that process. That process involves the client considering where they are personally, emotionally, professionally or relationally. Secondly, it is to assist the client in understanding where they want to be in any of those areas. Finally, it is to encourage the client as they create forward momentum toward those goals. Engaging insight from talk therapy and through behavioural planning, David hopes to help individual clients find strategies that will help them build a more integrated and congruent self, whether that involves general issues of functioning or very specific challenges such as pornography use. David has been a Professional Counsellor/Registered Psychotherapist for nine years and teaches in the graduate counselling program at Tyndale Seminary. David previously was employed in organ and tissue donation with an agency of the Provincial Department of Health.
